Privacy Policy
The Cloudveil Team (“we”, “us”) takes your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website and the game Cloudveil (together, the “Service”), how we use and protect it, and what rights you have.
1. What We Collect
We collect only what the Service needs to work:

We do not collect your name, phone number, government ID, location, or contacts, and we never ask you to link another platform account.
2. What We Don’t Do
- We use no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
- We don’t send marketing email.
- We don’t sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except where the law requires it.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
- When you sign in, the website stores a sign-in cookie in your browser. With “Keep me logged in” checked, it lasts 30 days and renews each time you visit; unchecked, it ends when you close the browser or after 12 hours of inactivity. Signing out deletes it.
- The website also stores two settings locally in your browser: whether you’ve muted the background music, and whether you’ve already seen the opening animation this visit. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.
- We use no tracking or advertising cookies.
4. Storage and Security
- Your information is stored on servers we control. To protect it: passwords are salted and hashed with PBKDF2-SHA256; the server keeps only hashes of sign-in tokens; the sign-in cookie can’t be read by page scripts; and sign-in, registration, and similar endpoints are rate-limited, with temporary lockout after repeated wrong passwords.
- We keep your account information and game data for as long as your account exists. Sign-in tokens stop working when they expire or when you sign out; in-game mail is deleted automatically 15 days after it’s sent; and changing your password revokes your sign-in tokens on every other device.
- When your account is deleted, its account information and all game data under it are deleted with it. When the test ends, test data may be wiped as described in the Terms of Service.
- If a security incident affects your personal information, we will let you know through a site announcement or by email.
5. Your Rights
- View: sign in and open the Account Center to see your account information.
- Change your password: under Security in the Account Center.
- Correct your information, delete your account, or withdraw consent: contact the test staff (see below). Withdrawing consent to this policy means we can no longer provide the Service, so we will delete your account.
- We will respond within 15 business days of receiving your request.
6. Minors
If you are under 18, use the Service only with a parent’s or guardian’s consent. Children under 14 may register only after a parent or guardian has read and agreed to this policy. If you’re a parent or guardian and find that your child registered without your consent, contact us and we’ll delete the account.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with an updated version number and effective date.
